Sickness and health
Damn. Viral Gastro is a drag. The typical euphemisms do no justice. business a usual today; bone crushing hostages of a virus yesterday. It does give perspective on the suffering of others, empathy for their loss of normalcy.
Today I bake bread in celebration of a firm intestine.

Breadth
Whole wheat today. Crust a little thick. Tasty and soft inside. Held up to butter, will toast tomorrow.

Go Real
Worked the resuscitation rooms last night...actually felt like a real nurse again.
4 intubations, AAA code, ptx, and a couple knuckle-heads, just for good measure.
Feels good to be useful. Even better to have someone notice. Good contrast to the incidents of the night before. You know who you are...just get on with your divorce and leave man hate at home.

Dreams
So, another day doing the dialysis gig.
I really need to slow things down a bit. My appreciation for what I have is slowly being replaced by the greed and "NAUSEA" of days gone by.
Still searching for the meaning of it all, whatever that is.

Lawyers guns and money
Waiting is hard.
Waging a war is unsatisfying, their are no real winners.
I just wish that my riggs would work out. Soon.

All for One and....all for one.
I think the time to move away from the familiar, comfortable and complacent and take a more active role in life. DaVita is pissing me off anyway, specifically the BS that Tracy gave me today about being "kind of happy that I was leaving because I sucked at the paperwork end of things" and "Patty spent alot of time fixing the mistakes I had made".
I was initially offended, but she is probably right. I refuse to count drugs as busywork and detest the the time wasting pointless "projects" that are frequently assigned to the willing subordinates.
I will end the "Davita" chapter of my life soon...gone but not forgotten. I really love my patients, but my dislike for the machine and the remarks of my ever supportive administrator will always leave a taste in my mouth.
All for one and ...all for one.

Vandals im
Apparently I FORGOT to pay my yearly excise tax, for a long time. And then my registration expired and then I FORGOT to renew.
The State Cop that pulled me over was kind enough to let me drive home and gave me a ticket for $100.
Then I get home and the mailman has left me more good news....I FORGOT to pay enough state taxes to Taxachusetts in 2007; apparently they were able to recalculate this after 4 years. $3k.
Did the Fed Taxes for this year; owe $3.7k; added to the $1k from last year, still unpaid and the 20k from 2004 to 2007, now we're talking some serious cash.
I would call my lawyer, but I owe him $1k, and he said no more pro bono.
ON my way up the road I remembered that I owe the association $1k, phone $500, electric $400, I must owe my ex some money; but her lawyer will let me know.
And back to the origin of this rant; how $100 turns to $400 when you FORGET to pay your excise taxes; now plus the $100 for the ticket...
At least I've got my health. The Medical Flex spending account randomly turned off my account for "improvements" until april 1st --the day of fools.

TD Bank I loathe you!
I feel like the bad son who has dishonored the family by forgetting grandma's birthday and then she is run over by a rickshaw before you can give her the present hastily made.

First of all, killing is probably wrong. But it looks so right on the big screen. And then the buddhist thing creeps in...taking someones life will end thier only chance at enlightenment. I guess I could argue that the "bad" people wouldn't have gotten enightened anyway. Who am I to judge?
